Fap Turbo Update Week ending 20 June 09
After a long period where my computer has had connection problems I have finally gathered two weeks of data. I decided to move to a new broker, Alpari UK which others have been finding better. This broker runs to 5 decimal places and generally the spreads are lower than FXDD by about 1 pip. I have managed to get 8 nights of trading over the last two weeks and although I still need more data I thought I would publish what I have so far. I have only traded it from 9 pm GMT to 1 am GMT Monday to Thursday as is recommended.
I am demo trading now with the updated robot software version 47 build 224.
Settings are as follows for the scalper stratergies:
GBPCHF M15
Never trades as max spread is set to 5 pips and the broker spread is always higher at around 7 pips during the day and as high as 10 over night.
EURCHF M15
Max spread = 5
Use MM = True
Lots risk reducer = 10 except for night 8 when I increased it to 14
Take profit = 5
Stop loss = 45
One trade = 0
Open one trade = False
USDCAD M15
Max spread = 5
Use MM = True
Lots risk reducer = 5
Take profit = 10
Stop loss = 58
One trade = 0
Open one trade = False
EURGBP M15
Max spread = 5
Use MM = True
Lots risk reducer = 14 changed to 17 night 8
Take profit = 6
Stop loss = 35
One trade = 0
Open one trade = False

Long term strategy EURUSD M1
I have traded this with out changing any settings at all just to see if it wins or looses over the long term. Because it’s a long term strategy I will have to wait some months to see how it does.
All other settings are as standard.
The results in real time are found by clicking on the box below.
My analysis of the data up to 19th June 2009
| Percent wins | 78.38 |
| Average Win | 232.5 |
| Percent loss | 21.62 |
| Average loss | 413.21 |
| Expectancy | 92.89 |
| ROI | 0.0344 |
% ROI for two weeks 3.44 %
The biggest problem, as can be seen from the trading data is that I have the odd big looser. With out these losses the results would be even better. To reduce the big losses one could get out manually if like me you watch the robot all night. When you do you have time to look back over earlier nights and there are indeed trends that occur at night which appear to be repeated.
I have not stepped into the rescue as I wanted to see how the robot does with no intervention as ultimately this is simply a numbers game and if the odds are in your favor in the long run you will make a profit. As the robot will adjust your exposure as a function of your capital in your account the compounding of the results leads to massive gains over the long run.
Lets see if this is true, I will feel much more confident if the results are still positive after around 150 to 200 trades are completed.
